Sažetak

The paper discusses Croatian terminology relating to home guardsmen (domobrani) in
the manuscripts and war diaries from Kamilo Firinger’s legacy. Kamilo Firinger fought in
the 1st World War and his language and the military terminology he uses are authentic. In the
paper, Kamilo Firinger’s home guardsmen terminology is compared with the terminology in
Teodor Toth’s Military Croatian-Hungarian Dictionary, and especially with the terminology
used by Miroslav Krleža in Hrvatski bog Mars (Croatian God Mars).
