Abstract

Laryngectomized people encounter many problems that affect their quality of life. The aim of the research is to assess the quality of life and determinate basic features that affect the quality of life of laryngectomized persons. Since it is not possible to objectively measure the quality of life, the preferred method of measurement is the use of questionnaires for patients, with a subjective evaluation of physical, mental and social functioning. The survey was conducted on 38 subjects, and the most important issues the respondents singled out are the loss or reduction of sensation of smell and taste and loss of loud laryngeal speech.
