Sažetak
A battery of 18PF by K. Momirović was applied to a sample of 89 subjects, regular students of KKF, aged 21-23. The results of high jump were measured in order to investigate the effect of pathological personality factors upon the results in this athletic discipline.
For this purpose the regression analysis was applied. The study process also required establishing of the latent structure of personality measuring instruments and the analysis did not omit the usual descriptive statistics, all aiming to establish the characteristics of the predictory andcriterion variables.
By means of Hotelling's method of principal components, given λ > 1 criterion, threee principal components were obtained, interpreted in the orthoblique position as factors of the asthetic, sthenic and conversive syndrom.
Using, in the first case, the manifest and, in the second, the latent personality space as the group of predictory variables, not a significant (P<0.05) multiple correlation with results in high jump was obtained.
The results lead to the conclusion that pathologic personality factors have no significant effect upon this athletic discipline. However, given the results of research up to the present time, such interpretation cannot be completely accepted.
