Sažetak
Ischemic heart disease is the leading cause of death in general population, but is a rare entity in young individuals. The prevalence of myocardial infarction in patients under 40 years of age is only 1% of all myocardial infarctions, and myocardial infarction secondary to chest trauma accounts for 3% of all myocardial infarctions. This is a case report of a 30-year-old man admitted to the Emergency Department with complaints of sharp pain in his left arm and chest after the fall down the stairs. Among the usual workup, electrocardiogram was recorded to show acute myocardial infarction. Coronarography demonstrated occlusion in the proximal segment of coronary artery and a stent was implanted.
