Sažetak
This paper examines the thesis that the quality of the classroom
climate is signifi cantly related to the level of student risk behaviour. The assumption is that students who manifest a higher level of risk behaviour experience a lower quality of classroom climate. The hypothesis is examined using data collected from a sample of 630 secondary schools students from Tuzla. The respondents were arranged in three clusters, according to the level of risk behaviour. An analysis of variance was made concerning the scale of the classroom
climate. Results indicate that students with different levels of risk behaviour experience all the major components of the classroom climate in different ways (clearness of rules of behaviour, level of discipline in the classroom, persistence in sanctioning breaches of school rules, the quality of relationships among students, the quality of relationships among teachers and students, and the quality of the classrooms). The authors indicate the need for professional work with secondary schools students showing risk behaviour, besides raising
the quality of their social integration in the school environment. This would lead to multiple positive effects (the prevention of behavioural disorders, a decrease in discipline problems in schools, etc.).
