Sažetak

Early diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders is challenging. Developing neuroimaging diagnostic tools and the application of reliable clinical tests contibuted to the reduced prevalence of the most severe neurodevelopmental disorder, cerebral palsy. The results of magnetic resonance imaging of the brain, General Movement Assesment and Hammersmith Infant Neurologic Examination before the age of 4 months have the most predictive value for severe neurodevelopmental disorder and after the age of 4 months the most predictive value has magnetic resonance imaging of the brain and Hammersmith Infant Neurologic Examination. Infants at high risk for neruodevelopmental disorders need to be included in the early intervention and habilitation process. According to the available evidence, early habilitation is based on better acceptance and commitment of the family. Stimulation process is based on interventions that practice tasks and activities from everyday life using their own high-intensity active movements. The exercise itself directly affects the achievement, hence the plasticity of the brain.
