Concepts, Meaning and Expressing of the Measuring Uncertainty

Abstract

This paper brings the opinions of experts about the complexity of the meaning that the basic items like the true value of the measuring quantity, error and measuring uncertainty have, accompanied with a special review of the attitudes represented by the most eminent international organizations in the field of metrology, which resulted in the international agreement for expressing measuring uncertainty published by the International Organization of Standardization ISO.
