Sažetak
The main aim of this paper is to find the most common organizational stressors for healthcare workers and determine their intensity by finding which organizational stressors stand out as the most stressful according to secondary research, and on the other hand, which of them stand out as the least stressful for healthcare workers as well as to determine the differences in the intensity of the stress experience in relation to their socio-demographic characteristics. The research was conducted among healthcare workers, since the occurrence of stress at work, due to the nature of the job, is particularly pronounced among employees in that activity - protection of health and human life. Different individuals do not perceive the same situation as equally stressful. Therefore, the same situation, action or event can cause negative stress to one employee, and it can be perceived as a positive stimulus by another employee.
Stress management at work can be observed from the employee's point of view -at the individual level, but also from the management's point of view - at the organization level. In addition to having consequences for the employee himself, stress at work also has extremely important consequences for the organization itself, such as: the problem of the organizing process, then the success of the organization and increased costs, which is why stress management stands out as one of the essential skills of managers. The most common stressors among the respondents of the selected health institutions include stressors from the category of stress factors Workplace organization and financial issues, and then from the category Professional and intellectual job requirements. Organizational stressors with the lowest stress intensity belong to the category of stress factors Conflict and communication at work.
The results of the research on the intensity of organizational stressors experience considering the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents (except according to one selected study) show that healthcare workers, regardless of age, level of education or seniority, experience stressful situations in the workplace equally. All selected studies show that there are no gender differences in situations and events at the workplace that contribute to the development of stress.
