Land Appraisal in the Function of Conservation and Increase of Soil Productivity

Sažetak
The land appraisal system for the determination of land capability classes is based on the rating system with an aim to analyse natural conditions of the production (soil, climate, relief and other natural conditions). In Croatia the soil mapping bas been finished at the scale of 1 : 50 000 For the operative projects on the agriculture farms it is necessary to work out the detailed soil maps with soil and land capability classes at the scale of 1 : 5000 to 10 000. At the same time it is necessary to elaborate the soil conservation programmes which include intensive and rational increase of plant and livestock production.
