The First GPS Measurements in Slovenia

Sažetak

The papers described the first GPS measurements in which Geodetic Department of FAGG was involved in 1991 in Slovenia. These measurements were carried out in the network Dobravica near by Ljubljana, and two international GPS campaigns: Alpentraverse and Tyrgeonet. The whole process of field planning, survey and data processing is described by example of network Dobravica. All computed coordinate differences were adjusted by method of observations only with the reference variance of m0 = ±6.1 mm. The terrestrial measurements in the network were performed with Mekometer ME 5000 and E2 electronic theodolite. We have compared observed terrestrial distances and horizontal angles with those obtained from GPS baseline processing. These differences indicate the presence of some systematic errors in GPS observations.
