The first observation of Eleonora’s Falcon Falco eleonorae in the Kopački rit wetlands

Abstract
The dark form of Eleonora’s Falcon Falco eleonorae was observed on 22nd June 2021 in
the Kopački rit Nature Park, in north-eastern Croatia, during regular bird monitoring. The
bird was resting on the tree, and then flew away southwards. This is the first observation
of this species in the Kopački rit Nature Park and the Baranja region in Croatia.
