Abstract

The paper gives a review of the development of the education at the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb, from the year 1919 till nowadays. For the period 1975–1990, the data have been given, concerning the number of enrolled and graduated students, the student's practice, textbooks and lecture notes, instrumental equipment, faculty staff, scientific-research work, and cooperation with economic subjects. Curriculums for the academic year 1989/90 have been enclosed as well. Besides, it is pointed to the necessity of the reform of the educational process in the spirit of new development trends in measurement technology and of new methods of work, as well as to the need to diminish the number of admitted students.
