Sažetak
In Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt the medical science, clearly separated from magic and religion, existed over two thousand years before the appearance of the first physicians in ancient Greece. It was developed inside the sacred temples, and the records of that ancient medicine remained unknown until the recent history of medicine. Archaeologists began extensive research of Egypt in the 19th century, when they found numerous papyrus scrolls. They began their translations by the end of the 19th century and that process continued for many years and is still not finished.
