Abstract

We have constructed five-dimensional plane-symmetric cosmological models in the presence of massive scalar field in Lyra manifold when the source of the gravitational field is a massive string with ρ = (1 + ω)λ (Takabayasi string). The role of massive scalar field in the evolution of the universe has been studied. The physical and kinematical behavior of the models is discussed.
