Abstract

A risk assessment for product identity, physico-chemical properties and analytical methods aims to determine whether the plant protection product has the correct chemical, physical and technical properties for the declared formulation, which proves that there is no harmful effect on human, animal and environmental health. The quality of the submitted documentation for approval in accordance with the current EU legislation directly affects the duration of the approval process. Each area of the risk assessment contains specific mandatory data required for the approval, and this paper presents and explains in detail all the data required for the area of product identity, physico-chemical properties and analytical methods. This paper highlights issues related to risk assessment and evaluation of documentation in the field of physico-chemical properties and analytical methods, depending on the type of application for the approval.
