Abstract

This paper introduces the network of the avant-garde journal »Zenit«, published in Zagreb and Belgrade, which facilitated the exchange of literary, philosophical and theoretical contributions, primarily in their respective languages, along with artistic reproductions. Its strategic aim was to systematically position itself within the expansive realm of avant-garde organs in Europe, and beyond. Following the connections of the editors, a phenomenon known as rhizomatic activity emerged; a precursor of sorts to developments in the Internet age. The guiding principles encompassed the transcending of local borders, the cultivation of a supranational sphere of activity and the promotion of new perspectives in both art and science.
