The twenty-third annual assembly of the Croatian Cartographic Society (CCS) was held on 8 December 2022, in the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy Hall in Zagreb. Before the official part of the assembly, the president gave a lecture "Lambert Conformal Conic Projection - 250th Anniversary".
Before the official start of the assembly, the president informed those present that CCS member E. Lynn Usery (1951-2022) had left us. Lynn was a great friend of ours, he participated in our international conferences and published in Cartography and Geoinformation. The In memoriam was published in KiG no. 37. He was honoured with a minute of silence.
After according to Art. 21 of the CCS Statute it was established that there was a quorum, the president opened the official part of the annual assembly with a proposal for the agenda, which was unanimously accepted:

In his report on the work of the CCS in 2022, the president reported that four regular sessions of the Presidency were held during 2022. Among the more important events in 2022, the president highlighted the following:
The new CCS headquarters
By a unanimous decision of the Presidency of the CCS dated 12 November 2021, new premises for the CCS headquarters were purchased. It is located in Zagreb, at Međimurska 17. It is premise no. 15 on the ground floor, with a surface area of 18.54 m2, condominium (E108). The price was EUR 1,800 per square meter, or a total of EUR 33,372.00, equivalent to HRK 251,078.38. The legal aspect of property ownership was fully in order. Tax still had to be paid in the amount of HRK 7,508.26. The issue of payment of reserves, utility fees and fees for water management, payment of water, electricity and heating has been resolved.
The sanitary area was remodelled, custom-made shelves were installed in the gallery. Two armchairs were bought. Four cabinets were moved from Kačićeva 26. A drawer unit still needs to be brought for storing the maps. Thanks to the SGA, a map on the floor was installed.
All members can use these premises with prior notice to the president. The new official CCS address is 10000 Zagreb, Međimurska 17.
Change of liquidator
At the session of the Presidency held on 24 April 2015, the then president of the Croatian Geodetic Society, Asst. Prof. Milan Rezo, PhD was appointed the CCS liquidator. At the session held on 16 November 2022, the Presidency agreed that the new CCS liquidator would be Prof. Emer. Miljenko Lapaine.
Introduction of the euro
The annual membership fee has for years been: HRK 120 for individuals, HRK 1200 for companies and institutions, HRK 40 for students and pensioners. At the session held on 16 November 2022, the Presidency decided that from 2023 the annual membership fee will be €20 for individuals, €200 for companies and institutions, and €7 for students and pensioners. The price of an individual issue of the Cartography and Geoinformation journal is €25.
Ministry of Science and Education
We applied for a tender for financial support for holding a scientific conference in 2022. We will receive HRK 7757.00. We applied for a tender for financial support for the science popularization programme in 2022. We have not been able to get funding. We applied for a tender for financial support for the work of a scientific and professional scientific association in 2022. The results of the tender are not yet known.
Cooperation with the State Geodetic Administration (SGA)
Instead of Mr. Marinko Bosiljevac, the SGA Director General appointed Martina Triplat Horvat PhD as the person in charge of cooperation between the SGA and the CCS. Thanks to SGA, a map was installed on the floor in the new CCS premises at Međimurska 17.
The Director General came to the ceremonial opening of the 18th ICGC in Selce, and 11 SGA employees participated in the entire conference. SGA helped with the transportation of foreign guests to the 18th ICGC and donated 30 topographic maps for the conference participants.
Director General Damir Šantek PhD suddenly resigned. Communication continues with his deputy Antonio Šustić through M. Triplat Horvat.
Deputy Director General A. Šustić and CCS president M. Lapaine signed an addendum to the contract on business and technical cooperation on the tasks of informing the professional public about the SGA activities in the journal "Cartography and Geoinformation". This addendum to the contract regulates assistance to CCS for the publication of an extraordinary issue of the journal in 2022.
Cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Chartered Geodetic Engineers
Two contracts on professional development were signed. For the workshop Cartographic Projections and New Developments in Cartography, which was held on 20 May 2022 and for the 18th International Conference on Geoinformation and Cartography, which was held on 1416 September 2022.
A new president of CCCGE, Adam Agotić, was elected. The President congratulated him and invited him to the opening of the 18th ICGC.
The president participated as a guest at the 15th Symposium of Chartered Geodetic Engineers in Opatija, 12-15 October 2022. He held a presentation of the chronicle "15 Symposia of Chartered Geodetic Engineers" for which he was the editor.
For professional development in 2023, we have registered a workshop for teachers on thematic cartography, to be held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek and online, in June 2023, and the 19th ICGC, which will be held in co-organization with the Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb, Department of Geography of the University ofZadar and the Croatian Geographical Society Zadar in Zadar, 7-9 September 2023.
Map Projections and New Developments in Cartography workshop
On 20 May 2022, the workshop "Map Projections and New Developments in Cartography" was held, organized by the Croatian Cartographic Society, the Education and Teacher Training Agency and the Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb. The workshop was intended for teachers and all those who wanted to refresh and expand their knowledge of cartography. The workshop was included in the professional development programme for teachers and chartered geodetic engineers. The details are described in Cartography and Geoinformation, 2022, no. 37, p. 101-109, and are also available at www.kartografija.hr
Thematic Cartography workshop
The CCS is organizing a workshop for teachers at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek and online, on 29 June 2023. We are cooperating with the Faculty of Geodesy (Prof. D. Medak) and advisor S. Burčar from the Education and Teacher Training Agency. The main topic will be thematic cartography.
18th International Conference on Geoinformation and Cartography
The organizers of the conference were the Croatian Cartographic Society and the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb. The conference was held at the Marina Hotel in Selce from 14-16 September 2022. The details can be found in this issue of Cartography and Geoinformation, and are also available at www.kartografija.hr
31st International Cartographic Conference, Cape Town 14-18 August 2023
The General Assembly of the International Cartographic Association (ICA) is held every four years. CCS is the representative of Croatia in ICA. Since 1995, when Croatia became a full member of the ICA, the president has participated in all the assemblies. It would be good if someone younger took over that part of the job, it is an honour and an obligation. For the cartographic exhibition, exhibits need to be collected and taken personally to the conference. To participate in the exhibition of children's drawings, the selected children's art works are sent to the appropriate address. A National Report needs to be prepared in which everything that has been done in cartography in the last four years should be reviewed. The next International Cartographic Conference and General Assembly will take place from 14-18 August 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The following should be done:
Create a National Report for the period 2019-2023
Participate in the International Map Exhibition (collect and select materials, participate in creating the catalogue, send materials for the exhibition on time and cooperate with the exhibition organizers)
Participate in the International Exhibition of Children's Drawings (inform institutions, conduct a competition in Croatia and collect drawgins, select drawings with the help of an expert jury, prepare drawings and send them to the organizer on time)
Participate in the sessions of the General Assembly
Participate in the ICA Executive Board session with delegates of the member countries
Actively participate with presentations and posters, and aid younger colleagues participating from Croatia
Create a report that will be published in Geodetski list and the journal Cartography and Geoinformation
Cartography and Geoinformation (KiG)
Issue 37 has been printed, and 38 is being prepared. A special issue on the occasion of M. Lapaine's 70th birthday is also being prepared.
Thanks to Iva Grabarić Andonovski, the secretary of the Znak association, it seems that both open questions regarding Scopus have been resolved: all Croatian journals in the Scopus database have the three-letter code HRV, not SCR (Serbo-Croatian) as was the case before, and KiG is in Scopus from the first issue, and not since 2007 as was the case before.
Information about the journal Cartography and Geoinformation has recently become available in the Cabells Journalytics database.
CCS IT infrastructure
The company Krigis d.o.o. regularly takes care of the IT infrastructure of the CCS. The server located at Kačićeva 26 occasionally fails. It will need to be replaced with a new one.
Acknowledgements
At the end of his report, the CCS President thanked the secretaries Assist. Prof. Ivka Kljajić PhD, Mira Lapaine MSc, and Marina Viličić PhD, Mrs Marija Iveković Mikuljan who is in charge of accounting (Irvi d.o.o.) and Martina Triplat Horvat PhD who assisted in the technical preparation of the journal Cartography and Geoinformation.
The presidents report was unanimously accepted.
2022 Financial Statement
The register of non-profit organizations at the Ministry of Finance is publicly available. Data for the CCS for 2013-2021 can be seen at https://banovac.mfin.hr/rnoprt/Details?handler=Details&id=11021
During 2022 until 1 December, revenues in the amount of HRK 156,425.93 were generated.
The total expenditure until 1 December amounted to HRK 171,664.31.
The account balance as of 6 December 2022 was HRK 351,055.16 (of which HRK 285,373.78 are capital goods)
The financial statement was unanimously accepted.
Report of the Supervisory Board
Dubravka Mlinarić PhD, president of the Supervisory Board submitted a report stating that the Society acted in accordance with the Associations Act, with the Society Statute and that the material and financial operations of the society were in order. The Supervisory Boards report was unanimously accepted.
2023 Work Plan
The president proposed the following work plan for 2023:

Propose scientific and professional projects that would improve Croatian cartography.

Regularly publish the journal Catography and Geoinformation.
Improve the sending of the journal to major libraries and exchange with related journals.
Design an award for young cartographers, nominate honorary members, plan certificates of appreciation.

Expand international cooperation with the aim of promoting the Society in the international community.

The proposed 2023 work plan was accepted unanimously.
2023 Financial Plan
In 2023, no borrowing or repayment is planned. The financial revenue plan for 2023 was prepared on the basis of the realized income in 2022. The 2023 financial expenditure plan has been prepared in accordance with the revenue plan.

Award of the CCS Certificate of Appreciation
The proposal was unanimously accepted to award the State Geodetic Administration a certificate of appreciation for the many years of support to the activities of the CCS and especially for the map on the floor that was installed in at the new CCS premises at Međimurska 17.
There was no discussion under the item Other. This concluded the official part of the assembly. The President thanked those present for their participation in the Annual Assembly and wished everyone the best for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. A small reception followed.
23rd Annual Assembly of the Croatian Cartographic Society

Dvadesettreća godišnja skupština Hrvatskoga kartografskog društva (HKD) održana je 8. prosinca 2022. u Vijećnici AGG fakulteta u Zagrebu. Prije službenog dijela skupštine predsjednik je održao predavanje "Lambertova konformna konusna projekcija - 250. obljetnica".
Prije službenog početka skupštine predsjednik je obavijestio nazočne da nas je napustio član HKD-a E. Lynn Usery (1951-2022). Lynn je bio naš veliki prijatelj, sudjelovao na našim međunarodnim konferencijama i objavljivao u Kartografiji i geoinformacijama. In memoriam je objavljen u KiG-u br. 37. Minutom šutnje odana mu je počast.
Nakon što je prema čl. 21 Statuta HKD-a utvrđeno da postoji kvorum, predsjednik je otvorio službeni dio godišnje skupštine prijedlogom dnevnoga reda koji je jednoglasno prihvaćen:

U svom izvještaju o radu HKD-a u 2022. godini predsjednik HKD-a izvijestio je da su tijekom 2022. godine održane četiri redovite sjednice Predsjedništva. Od važnijih događanja u 2022. predsjednik je istaknuo sljedeće:
Novi prostor sjedišta HKD-a
Jednoglasnom odlukom Predsjedništva HKD-a od 12. 11. 2021. kupljen je novi prostor sjedišta HKD-a. Nalazi se u Zagrebu, na adresi Međimurska 17. To je lokal br. 15 u prizemlju, površine 18,54 m2, etažno vlasništvo (E-108). Cijena je bila 1800 eura po kvadratnom metru, odnosno ukupno 33.372,00 eura, u kunskoj protuvrijednosti 251.078,38 kn. Imovinsko-pravno sve je bilo čisto. Još je trebalo platiti porez u iznosu od 7.508,26 kn. Riješeno je pitanje plaćanja pričuve, komunalne naknade i naknade za uređenje voda, plaćanje vode, struje i grijanja.
Preuređen je sanitarni dio, izrađene su po mjeri i postavljene police na galeriji. Kupljena su dva naslonjača. Iz Kačićeve 26 preseljena su četiri ormara. Još bi trebalo donijeti ladičar za čuvanje karata. Zahvaljujući DGU-u postavljen je na podu kartohod.
Svi članovi mogu koristiti taj prostor uz prethodnu najavu predsjedniku. Nova službena adresa HKDa je 10000 Zagreb, Međimurska 17.
Promjena likvidatora
Na sjednici Predsjedništva održanoj 24. 4. 2015. za likvidatora HKDa imenovan je tadašnji predsjednik Hrvatskoga geodetskog društva doc. dr. sc. Milan Rezo. Na sjednici održanoj 16. 11. 2022. Predsjedništvo se složilo da novi likvidator HKD-a bude prof. emer. Miljenko Lapaine.
Uvođenje eura
Godišnja članarina je već godinama: 120 kn za pojedince, 1200 kn za tvrtke i institucije, 40 kn za studente i umirovljenike. Na sjednici održanoj 16. 11. 2022. Predsjedništvo je odlučilo da od 2023. godine godišnja članarina bude 20 € za pojedince, 200 € za tvrtke i institucije te 7 € za studente i umirovljenike. Cijena pojedinog broja časopisa Kartografija i geoinformacije je 25 €.
MZO
Prijavili smo se na natječaj za financijsku potporu za održavanje znanstvenog skupa u 2022. godini. Dobit ćemo 7757,00 kn. Prijavili smo se na natječaj za financijsku potporu programu popularizacije znanosti u 2022. godini. Nismo uspjeli dobiti sredstva. Prijavili smo se na natječaj za financijsku potporu radu znanstvene i znanstvenostručne udruge u 2022. godini. rezultati natječaja još nisu poznati.
Suradnja s DGU-om
Umjesto kolege Marinka Bosiljevca, glavni ravnatelj DGU-a imenovao je dr. sc. Martinu Triplat Horvat za osobu zaduženu za suradnju DGU-a i HKD-a. Zahvaljujući DGUu u novom prostoru HKD-a u Međimurskoj 17 postavljen je kartohod.
Glavni ravnatelj došao je na svečano otvaranje 18thICGC u Selce, a 11 djelatnika DGU-a sudjelovalo je na cijeloj konferenciji. DGU je pomogao s prijevozom stranih gostiju na 18thICGC i donacijom 30 topografskih karata za sudionike konferencije.
Glavni ravnatelj dr. sc. Damir Šantek je iznenada podnio ostavku. Komunikacija se nastavlja s njegovim zamjenikom Antoniom Šustićem preko M. Triplat Horvat.
Zamjenik glavnog ravnatelja A. Šustić i predsjednik HKD-a M. Lapaine potpisali su dodatak ugovoru o poslovno-tehničkoj suradnji na poslovima informiranja stručne javnosti o aktivnostima DGU-a u časopisu "Kartografija i geoinformacije". Tim je dodatkom ugovora regulirana pomoć HKD-u za izdavanje izvanrednog broja časopisa u 2022. godini.
Suradnja s HKOIG-om
Potpisana su dva ugovora o stručnom usavršavanju. Za radionicu Kartografske projekcije i novosti u kartografiji koja je održana 20. 5. 2022. i za 18. međunarodnu konferenciju o geoinformacijama i kartografiji koja je održana 14-16. 9. 2022.
Izabran je novi predsjednik HKOIG-a Adam Agotić. Predsjednik mu je čestitao i pozvao ga na otvaranje 18thICGC.
Predsjednik je kao gost sudjelovao na 15. simpoziju ovlaštenih inženjera geodezije u Opatiji, 12-15.10. 2022. Održao je prezentaciju spomenice "15 simpozija ovlaštenih inženjera geodezije" kojoj je bio urednik.
Za stručna usavršavanja u 2023. prijavili smo radionicu za nastavnike o tematskoj kartografiji koja će se održati na Građevinskom fakultetu u Osijeku i online, 29. 6. 2023. i 19thICGC što će se održati u suorganizaciji s Geodetskim fakultetom Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Odjelom za geografiju Sveučilišta u Zadru i Hrvatskim geografskim društvom - Zadar u Zadru, 7-9. 9. 2023.
Radionica Kartografske projekcije i novosti u kartografiji
Dana 20. svibnja 2022. održana je radionica Kartografske projekcije i novosti u kartografiji u organizaciji Hrvatskoga kartografskog društva, Agencije za odgoj i obrazovanje i Geodetskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Radionica je bila namijenjena nastavnicima i svima koji žele obnoviti i proširiti svoja znanja iz kartografije. Radionica je uvrštena u program stručnog usavršavanja nastavnika i učitelja te ovlaštenih inženjera geodezije. Detalji su opisani u Kartografiji i geoinformacijama, 2022, br. 37, str. 101-109, a dostupni su i na www.kartografija.hr
Radionica Tematska kartografija
HKD organizira jednodnevnu radionicu za nastavnike na Građevinskom fakultetu u Osijeku i online, 29. 6. 2023. U dogovoru smo s Geodetskim fakultetom (prof. D. Medak) i savjetnicom S. Burčar iz AZOO-a. Osnovna tema je tematska kartografija.
18th International Conference on Geoinformation and Cartography
Organizatori konferencije bili su Hrvatsko kartografsko društvo i Geodetski fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Konferencija je održana u hotelu Marina u Selcu od 14. do 16. rujna 2022. Detalji su opisani u ovom broju Kartografije i geoinformacija, a dostupni su i na www.kartografija.hr
31. međunarodna kartografska konferencija, Cape Town 14-18. 8. 2023.
Svake četiri godine održava se Generalna skupština Međunarodnoga kartografskog društva (International Cartographic Association - ICA). HKD je predstavnik Hrvatske u ICA-i. Od 1995. godine kad je Hrvatska postala punopravnom članicom ICA-e, predsjednik je sudjelovao na svim skupštinama. Bilo bi dobro da netko mlađi preuzme taj dio posla, to je čast i obaveza. Za kartografsku izložbu treba prikupiti izloške, osobno ih odnijeti na konferenciju. Za sudjelovanje na izložbi dječjih radova, izabrani dječji radove se šalju na odgovarajuću adresu. Treba prirediti Nacionalni izvještaj u kojem treba sagledati što je sve rađeno iz kartografije u zadnje četiri godine. Sljedeća Međunarodna kartografska konferencija i Generalna skupština održat će se 14-18. 8. 2023. u Cape Townu u Južnoafričkoj Republici.
Trebalo bi:
Izraditi Nacionalno izvješće za razdoblje 2019-2023.
Sudjelovati na Međunarodnoj izložbi karata (prikupiti i odabrati materijale, sudjelovati na izradi kataloga, poslati materijale za izložbu na vrijeme te surađivati s organizatorima izložbe)
Sudjelovati na Međunarodnoj izložbi dječjih radova (obavijestiti institucije, provesti natječaj u Hrvatskoj i prikupiti radove, odabrati radove uz pomoć stručnog žirija, opremiti radove i poslati ih na vrijeme organizatoru)
Sudjelovati na zasjedanjima Generalne skupštine
Sudjelovati na sjednici Izvršnog odbora ICA-e i delegata zemalja članica
Aktivno sudjelovati s referatima i posterima, te pružiti pomoć pri sudjelovanju mlađim kolegama iz Hrvatske
Izraditi izvješće koje će se objaviti u Geodetskom listu i časopisu Kartografija i geoinformacije
KiG
Tiskan je broj 37, a u pripremi je broj 38. U pripremi je i poseban broj u povodu 70. rođendana M. Lapainea.
Zahvaljujući Ivi Grabarić Andonovski tajnici udruge Znak izgleda da su riješena oba otvorena pitanja u vezi sa Scopusom: svi hrvatski časopisi u bazi Scopus imaju troslovni kod HRV, a ne SCR (Serbo-Croatian) kao što je bilo prije i KiG je u Scopusu od prvog broja, a ne od 2007. godine kao što je bilo prije.
Podaci o časopisu Kartografija i geoinformacije dostupni su odnedavno i u bazi Cabells Journalytics.
Informatička infrastruktura HKD-a
Tvrkta Krigis d.o.o. uredno vodi brigu o informatičkoj infrastrukturi HKD-a. Poslužitelj (server) koji se nalazi u Kačićevoj 26 povremeno otkazuje. Bit će ga potrebno zamijeniti novim.

Na kraju svojeg izvještaja predsjednik HKD-a zahvalio je tajnicama doc. dr. sc. Ivki Kljajić, mr. sc. Miri Lapaine i dr. sc. Marini Viličić, gospođi Mariji Iveković Mikuljan koja vodi računovodstvo (Irvi d.o.o.) i dr. sc. Martini Triplat Horvat koja pomaže u tehničkoj pripremi časopisa Kartografija i geoinformacije.
Izvještaj predsjednika prihvaćen je jednoglasno.

Tijekom 2022. godine do 1. 12. ostvareni su prihodi u iznosu od 156.425,93 kuna.

Dr. sc. Dubravka Mlinarić, predsjednica Nadzornog odbora podnijela je izvještaj u kojem navodi da je Društvo djelovalo u skladu sa Zakonom o udrugama, Statutom Društva te da je materijalno i financijski poslovalo uredno. Izvještaj Nadzornog odbora prihvaćen je jednoglasno.

Zakonodavstvo
Uključiti se u aktivnosti pri izradi i donošenju zakonske regulative za područje kartografije i geoinformacija.
Obrazovanje
Aktivno sudjelovati na promicanju kartografskih znanja i vještina na svim razinama obrazovanja.
Organizirati natječaj za najbolje dječje crteže na kartografske teme.
Sudjelovati na Festivalima znanosti.
Organizirati predavanja i radionice za sve uzraste.
Uključiti srednje geodetske škole.
Projekti
Predložiti znanstveno-stručne projekte kojima bi se unaprijedila hrvatska kartografija.
Predložiti odgovarajućim institucijama recenziranje i utvrđivanje kvalitete njihovih kartografskih i geoinformacijskih proizvoda.
Promidžba
Stalno osuvremenjivati web-stranice Društva.
Uključiti srednje geodetske škole i srodna društva.
Redovito izdavati časopis Kartografija i geoinformacije.
Pojačati slanje časopisa u važnije knjižnice i razmjenu sa srodnim časopisima.
Osmisliti nagradu mladim kartografima, nominirati počasne članove, planirati zahvalnice.
Uspostaviti suradnju s novinarima i pravodobno informirati javnost o aktivnostima Društva preko svih medija.
Proširiti međunarodnu suradnju s ciljem promoviranja Društva u međunarodnoj zajednici.
Savjetovanja
Sudjelovanje na Festivalu znanosti (izložba dječjih crteža, predavanja).
Ustrajati na međunarodnoj razini i suradnji.
Organizirati radionicu o tematskoj kartografiji 28-29. 6. 2023. u Osijeku.
Organizirati 19. međunarodnu konferenciju o geoinformacijama i kartografiji, 7-9. 9. 2023.
Predloženi plan rada za 2023. godinu usvojen je jednoglasno.
Financijski plan za 2023. godinu
U 2023. godini ne planira se zaduživanje ni otplate. Financijski plan prihoda za 2023. godinu izrađen je na temelju ostvarenih prihoda u 2022. godini. Financijski plan rashoda za 2023. godinu izrađen je sukladno planu prihoda.
Predloženi financijski plan za 2023. godinu usvojen je jednoglasno.
Dodjela zahvalnice HKD-a
Jednoglasno je prihvaćen prijedlog da se Državnoj geodetskoj upravi dodijeli zahvalnica za višegodišnju potporu aktivnostima HKD-a i posebno za kartohod koji je postavljen u novom prostoru HKD-a u Međimurskoj 17.
Pod točkom Ostalo nije bilo rasprave. Time je završen službeni dio skupštine. Predsjednik je zahvalio nazočnima na sudjelovanju na Godišnjoj skupštini i zaželio svima sve najbolje uz nadolazeće božićne i novogodišnje blagdane. Uslijedio je mali domjenak.
