Abstract

Shaped by the gestures of destructive negativity, rejection of rival poetics, exaltation of its own intellectual superiority and aesthetic, ethical and political exceptionalism, the modern lyrics encourages an ethos of doubt and radical criticism which nowadays shows signs of weakness. The paper presents the thesis that the poets of the Quorum’s generation, in the last twenty years, are less dedicated to skepticism, negation, denaturalization, rejection and demystification of what is allegedly outdated, hardened, disciplining, hegemonic or false, and to a greater extent they strive to gather, connect, bring closer, join the diverse poetics, theoretical ideas, discursive strategies and worldviews, in order to shape yet non-existent, but promising worlds. The politics of that lyric is giving voice, not taking it away, participating in the world, not elitist exclusion from it, building, not dismantling.

Keywords
