Abstract

This column highlights the importance of effective response planning in condition monitoring for high-voltage assets. Drawing lessons from historical events, it underscores how preparation and adaptability can impact outcomes. Key elements of a successful response plan—timely action, risk analysis, clear objectives, and stakeholder collaboration—are discussed. Through real-world examples, the authors illustrate the consequences of poor planning and the benefits of proactive strategies.
