Abstract

The present presents several illustrative cases for the work of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral in Rijeka as the district collection centre of the Commission for the Gathering and Protection of Cultural Monuments and Antiquities (KOMZA). Based on research into the Museum’s archives, museum holdings, and archival materials from the Croatian State Archives, the work of the Museum as a collection centre is briefly described and the provenance of several objects in the Museum’s holdings is determined.
