Sažetak

Digital libraries constitute a significant subject of interest among researchers in the field of digital humanities. They must respond to the growing expectations and demands of both researchers and the broader user community, who are increasingly becoming active participants in the development of digital library systems. Through the application of digital technologies, portal presentations, and virtual exhibitions, libraries have innovatively reaffirmed scientific and cultural heritage. The focus of this paper is Croatian humanists and philosophers, specifically the presence of their digitized works in libraries. Analog and digital catalogs of 13 libraries and various platforms were searched to determine the availability of these works. The results indicate the extent to which Croatian humanists and philosophers are represented in digital libraries and aggregated national and international portals. The analysis also highlights the latest technological achievements implemented by libraries, introducing new opportunities within digital humanities. In conclusion, the paper discusses the manner in which libraries adapt the scientific and cultural heritage of Croatian humanists and philosophers, providing access to original works, reproductions, and scientific articles, and explores their role in popularizing science.
