LJERKA CAR MATUTINOVIĆ THE POETRY OF UNITY AND UNEXPANDABLE VITALITY

Abstract
A prolific Croatian literary Ljerka Car Matutinović, professor of Croatian and Italian languages with literature, was born in Crikvenica, and now lives and creates in Zagreb. She is an inspired writer of prose, an author of children‘s books, a literary critic, a successful and respected translator, and first of all a poet. She creates in the Croatian literary language, Crikvenica’s Chakavski idiom and Italian language. She is educated in the spirit of humanistic sciences, possesses great talent, unspent vitality, is diligent and very devoted to her native roots in Crikvenica. She has published 15 books of poetry, four books of storytelling prose, a novel, short stories, children’s poems and picture books, and numer ous books of the literarycriticism prose, and translations. She is part of the national and international anthologies. She is a winner of numerous literary awards as well an Award for life work from the city of Crikvenica.
