Presentation of Archaeological Heritage: An Example of the Exhibition Astral Symbolism in the Vučedol Culture and Vučedolac Outside of the Box in the Božidar Adžija Library in Zagreb

Sažetak
This paper represents the presentation of archaeological heritage in the Božidar Adžija Library – Zagreb City Libraries, in order to informe about the value of the Vučedol Culture Museum on the occasion of the Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Homeland War and the Remembrance Day for the Sacrifice of Vukovar and Škabrnja. The paper describes the process of informal learning through two exhibitions set up in the library, three lectures at a higher education institution, and several visits by secondary school students, as well as the evaluation of the activities carried out. It is expected that the conducted inclusion with students will provide an insight into the broader picture of the city of Vukovar and lead them to the Museum. The implementation of modern technology creates added value to museum`s physical exhibits and contributes to the contextualization of the exhibited library material. The cooperation of cultural and educational institutions contributes to the transformation of the public perception of the library as a valuable factor in lifelong learning and breaks down prejudices that the library is intended exclusively for borrowing books. By presenting the results of cooperation between the Božidar Adžija Library – Zagreb City Libraries, Vučedol Culture Museum, Bernays University College, secondary schools, Seventh Gymnasium and Vladimir Prelog School of Natural Sciences, we provide an example of the practice of raising awareness about archaeological heritage and the use of modern technology in culture and education.
