Abstract
In the paper problems of the Croatian electricity supply company's transmission network and their solution in the next three-year period are analyzed. According to the Law on Electric Energy Market, NN Nr. 68 (Article 12, Item 1) from 2001 “System operator, in cooperation with the energy subject for electric energy transmission and after prior acknowledgement of the Regulatory Council, determines the transmission network development and construction plans
for the period of three years.” For analysis and evaluation purposes of the needed network
strengthening, transmission network is modeled on computer for expected peak load in 2002 and 2005. The evaluation of the Croatian transmission network's existing configuration is given as well as planned construction until 2005. Weak points of transmission network are mentioned
that could cause major disturbances. Corrective actions are listed, operation instructions as well as essential new construction of the system. Special emphasis is put on future construction of TS @erjavinec and TS Ernestinovo.
