Sažetak

Tourism represents one of the most important tourist activities not only in Istria but also in Croatia. The main goals of tourism development in Croatia are the profiling of the destination as one of the best high quality destinations on the Mediterranean and in Europe. In order to realize this goal we need to develop new forms of tourist offer and tourist products, create a recognizable tourist destinations image, raise the quality of accommodation and hospitality services in tourism while at the same time protecting the environment and preserving the cultural and historical heritage.
