Abstract

Alongside the Safety at Work Act (N.N., Nos. 59/96, 94/96, 114/03 and 100/04), other supporting legislation (implementation provision) has been passed. The legislation in question is the Safety and Health Regulations in Using Working Equipment (N.N., No. 21 of 18 February 2008).
The Regulations set out the obligations of both employer and employee with regard to use of working equipment. For working equipment incorporated into buildings, aside from the Regulations, special provisions regarding physical planning and building are implemented.
The paper stresses the specific importance of the Regulations, which came into force on 26 February 2008.
