Sažetak
The family represents a major factor for the social development of a child. Establishing positive emotional relations parent – child, is a precondition for the development of social skills, skills that are crucial for children in order to achieve their social maturity. The adoption of cultural and social patterns in the child behaviour also very much depends on the dynamics of the educational (school) environment. Accepting and respecting the child's personality by both teachers and parents, will create the feeling of security and trust and will in general impact the overall development and improvement of the child. A partnership relation between pupils, teachers and parents is a very important element in the process of socialization and development of competence. A quality communication between pupils, teachers and parents is the mirror of the care shown by the society, mainly to family and schools, for the comprehensive development of the child's personality.
