Journal of the Department of Art History, University of Zadar, Ars Adriatica, publishes blind double-peer reviewed scientific and professional papers in history and theory of arts, in scope that covers questions and phenomena of visual cultures of Adriatic rim, their urbanistic and architectural forms, painting, sculpture and applied arts, as well as the questions of museum and curatorial praxis, heritage conservation and methodologies of research. Scientific scope: History and theory of visual arts, architecture, urbanism and visual communications. Journal is indexed by Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection (ESCI), Art source (EBSCO), ERIH PLUS and DOAJ. It is on the A1 list of Croatian journals in the field of humanities. In 2023, it is included in the Italian list of scientific journals for the area 10 (Antiquities, Philology, Literary Studies and Art History), as well as in the list of Class A-journals for the area 08/E2 (Conservation, Restoration and History of Architecture) by the ANVUR.
