The University of Dubrovnik is the publisher of the scientific journal for the sea and seafaring titled “Naše more“. The journal “Naše more“ was founded by renowned names from the circles of shipowners, seafarers and bankers. It was published for only two years and was then discontinued. It was re-founded in Dubrovnik in 1953, also by notable people from the circles of the shipping industry and business, gathered in the club “Miho Pracat“, which was its first editor. In 1991, the editing and publishing was taken over by the Maritime Faculty, which later became the Polytechnic of Dubrovnik and in 2003 the University of Dubrovnik. The journal consists of the main part and the supplement, which form one unit. The supplement consists of various maritime topics that were not included in the main part of the journal. Priority scientific areas are technical, biotechnical and natural sciences related to the sea, the shore and the underwater environment. The journal covers topics related to navigation, marine technology and marine engineering, maritime industry, economy, transport, shipping, maritime law, oceanology, aquaculture, environmental protection and marine biology, i.e. the sea and seafaring in the broadest sense of the word. In addition, it covers topics related to nautical and coastal tourism, but also maritime and vocational education. The journal has been ranked according to its excellence, as the journals with the internationally recognized reviews. Note: there are no APC or any other hidden charges for the authors.
