Abstract

This paper deals with the process of MDF cutting by the abrasive water-jet (WJC) and shows how is kerf width infl uenced by process parameters. It presents the results of monitoring the kerf width related to technical and technological parameters, material parameters and cutting method. At the end of this paper, there is a detailed presentation of the possibilities of impacting kerf width by the change of the above mentioned parameters of the cutting process.
