Abstract

Knowledge workers are workers who, in their work, use the acquired and create new knowledge. With their knowledge, skills, abilities and ideas they make a significant contribution to success and development of a company. Knowledge workers and company where they work are interdependent. Specifically, the company provides knowledge workers with resources. On the other hand, companies depend on knowledge workers and their ability to synthesize theoretical and experiential knowledge, and apply it in the design of adequate solutions. In this context, the role of management is quite significant as its main goal is to make knowledge workers productive.
