Abstract

The article is divided into two parts: the organizational
structure of the Church of Scientology and their humanitarian
work. The mother church for all Scientology churches is called
The Church of Scientology International (CSI), located in Los
Angeles, California. The Church of Scientology has a network
of of continental office (Continental Liaison Offices) who are
responsible for the organization of Scientology activities at
regional and local level. They are responsible for the support
of local churches. Church of the V degree (Class V. churches)
have authority for training and ordination of new officers. Their
maximum is reaching the fifth grade (Class V.) in a hierarchical
structure. Members of the Class V churches can thrive.
For that, they need to choose one of the advanced churches
(Saint Hill Churches and progressive organizations). The next
level in a hierarchical structure is composed of members Flag
Service Organization, located in Clearwater, Florida. Here come
the elected members of the Class V. churches and advanced
Scientology organizations. Those who are most devoted to the
Scientology church, are members of The See Organization, also
called See Org. It is, in fact, a religious order in the Scientology
Church. The present leader of the Church of Scientology is
Miscavige David (born in the 1960.th year.). He is the manager
of The Board of Religious Technology Center (RTC), and as a
consequence the highest member of a hierarchical structure.
Church of Scientology from its beginnings, trying to participate
in a variety of humanitarian programs. We have selected seven:
1. The Way to Happiness – A Non-Religious moral code restoring
values; 2. Aplied Scholastics – A Worldwide Network bringing
literacy and learning to millions; 3. Criminon – Building a World
free of crime; 4. Narconon – An international Drug rehabilitation
program saving lives; 5. Anti-Drug – A Drug education and
prevention campaign on a Global scale; 6. Human Rights – An
International Initiative to make Human Rights a Reality; 7.
Citizens Commission on Human Rights – CCHR.
