Abstract
The paper deals with human voice analysis for the purpose of person's identification on the basis of his/her voice or speech. The basic characteristics of speech are introduced, as well as the methods of speech analysis, basic components of speech and the relevant software. The aim of the paper is to raise interest for the development of audio forensics at the Ministry of the interior of the Republic of Croatia.
