A Nasoalveolar Cyst - Case Report

Abstract
According to the pathogenesis and the origin o f epithelium, mandibular cysts are divided into developmental and inflammatory, odontogenous and non-odontogenous ones. According to localization, they may be situated within a bone or in the soft tissue. Presentation is made o f a nasoalveolar cyst belonging to the group o f developmental, non-odontogenous cysts. It is always localized extraosseously, in the soft tissue o f the nasolabial sulcus, below the nasal wing. To date, about 200 such cysts have been described and pathohistologically verified. The aim o f this study was to point to the clinical picture, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment o f the nasoalveolar cyst.
