Abstract

This paper is addressed to talon cusp, rare odontogenic anomaly which projects from the cingulum area o f maxillary or mandibular teeth. The shape o f the cusp resembles an eagles talon. Talon cusp is composed of normal enamel and dentin, and may contain pulp horn. Usually, talon cusp tooth has »T« or »Y« shape. The diagnosis o f talon cusp is based on clinical and radiographic appearance. It is necessary to recognize this anomaly because it arises many problems and requests multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
