THE NEW COLPOSCOPIC CLASSIFICATION

Abstract
The new colposcopic classification was accepted after four years study group efforts (1999.–2003.). Having in the mind that more than ten years elapsed from colposcopic terminology Rome (1990) it is reasonable to bear in the mind that certain practical problems had arrised to be solved. The first was subdivision of transformation zone in three types and second one was pointing out the minor and major changes in squamous epithelium of the uterine cervix and upper third of vagina.
