Abstract

The article describes the word formation types in the Kaikavian literary language that are semantically related to numbers. Analyzed examples are mostly taken out from two dictionaries: Habdelić’s Dictionar (Graz, 1670) and Jambrešić’s Lexicon latinum (Zagreb, 1742). Several word formation types that were not present in kaikavian dictionaries were found in Mihalj Šilobod Bolšić’s mathematical manual Arithmetika horvatszka (Zagreb, 1758.). These confirmations show that morphemes with number meaning are nouns, adjectives, numbers, verbs and adverbs.
