Abstract

This study presents the results of histological researches on the influence of adrenalectomy on the tooth tissue of male albinorats sacrificed 21 days after the experiment. The firs t group of animal was treated with 2 mg hydrocortisone per day; the second one with 2 mg of DOKA; the third one with 0,9% of NaCI and the fourth one was the control group. All the sections proved that the tooth pulp was well vascularized. The capillaries at the adrenalectomized animals were enlarged and filled with blood elements in the subodontoblastic and odontoblastic zone. Smallest changes appeared at the animals treated with 0,9% of NaCI. The group of animals treated with hydrocortisone (without NaCI) sufferred the greatest changes while the group treated with DOKA underwent less changes in comparison with the previous one.
