Abstract
Six year's experience with multiple-choice examinations (MCE) in physiology and biochemistry is reported. Several examples of different types of multiple-choice questions are presented und the scoring procedure is explained. The advantages and disadvantages of MCE and oral examinations are compared. The MCE are considered a much better instrument of knowledge measurement in physiology and biochemistry than the oral examinations.
