Abstract

The work presents data on 46 unpublished examples
of Hellenistic relief pottery found in Siculi at the
beginning of the 1990s during archaeological excavations
in the harbour, houses and streets of the Hellenistic
phase. The find-site has been broadly dated
from the mid-second to the first century BC. Analysis
has led to the conclusion that there are two types of
drinking vessels: cups and small bowls. They differ
in terms of the shape of the vessel bottoms, rim types
and size.
