Abstract

A.B. Šimić is not only a great poet, but also an eminent connoisseur of art expressionism, its theorist and critic with exceptional knowledge of German and French art scenes. Being familiar not only with literary conditions but also with art movements in Europe in general, especially with fine art theory and critics, Šimić used to critically write different articles (discussions, reviews and essays) in a lively and provocative but at the same time ingenious and modern way, proving himself the best connoisseur of European and Croatian literary and art expressionism of that time
