Abstract
There are many procedures of injection moulding of thermoplastics,
the basic one being the high-pressure procedure. Successful injection moulding is based on a co-ordinated choice and operation of elements of the injection moulding system, which consists of the injection moulding machine, mould and temperature controller. In this paper three concepts of construction of injection moulding machines are considered: hydraulic, hybrid and all-electric. Their advantages and disadvantages in operation are described as well.
