Abstract
Electronic structure of chalcone (1), aurone (2a) and 1-thioaurone (2b) has been studied by measuring their Hel PE spectra and the interpretation of data has been performed by means of semiempirical molecular orbital calculations (PMO, HAM/3, and CNDO/S).
