Abstract
It is a well known fact that in the present market conditions the
only successful product, in our case the ship, is the one that will meet both the technological and the commercial conditions on the market in
the profit making sense. Therefore, in the creation of a successful
ship, technology and economy go arm in arm. The main components
of the technological side are the designing skills and the level of technological achievement in the process of construction, while the main components of the economical side are the monitoring of price trends and market demands, and the adaptability to the credit and currency policy, with the aim of creating the best possible offers and
signing of the most profitable building contracts.
