Abstract
The subject of the study were factors of co-operation between patients with
rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatologist in the case of 200 patients with the classical
and cartain rheumatoid arthritis. The attitude of the rheumatologist towards the
patient was classified as gentle, strict, sure, in hurry and dissinterested. A taxomic
analysis of the co-operation factors was carried out. ·
It was determined that an attentive and protective attitude of the rheumatologist
towards the patient motivates the patient for an effective co-operation and
healing, but nevertheless most of the patients when dealing with a rheumatologist
such described interrupted their physical therapy out of self-will. Least of the patients
interrupted the physical therapy when co-operating with the rheumatologist
whose attitude was described as strict and official. There is no universal »profile of
risky patient<< who would not co-operate with the rpeumatologist. The relation of
the patient and the rheumatologist is a dynamically socio-psychological process
that incorporates many various factors which should be noted and then given a
certain meaning and strength in this complex process.
