Abstract

The paper is an attempt to assess the dose of radioactivity. Likely to be received by Yugoslav inhabitants from the Chernobyl nuclear accident using the dose likely to have been received by the people of north Great Britain where accumulated iodine-131 and caesium-137 deposit ion was greater than in Yugoslavia. Based on the results of this analysis it may be concluded that the Yugoslav people neither have suffered nor will suffer in the future health damage from radiation released in the Chernobyl accident.
