Abstract
Death is the term for one infallible fact of human life. It comes as the last and final if not the most sublime event in life. Life itself in order to be properly valued, should be looked at not only in the light of its beginning, its temporal course and development, but also in the light of this-worldly ending and that is death It is worthwhile to contemplate about this final event in life, about dying and death: about the inevitability of its happening, about the possibility, the right and obligation that this inevitable event be in harmony with human dignity.
This question is not irrelevant to a Christian either. Death for him is not only the final event in his life but it is also dies natalis, the birthday of heaven, a happy event. It gives him the opportunity to pass from this-worldly life, through the paschal sacrament of death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to the union with eternal holy life with God. In view of such a contemplation of death, a Christian cannot remain indifferent to the question of how will he end his life and how should he prepare himself for this important event.
