Abstract

Political revolutions did not bring the adequate social and cultural changes in the contemporary societies if we compare them with the XlXth and XXth industrial societies. The newly born industrial societies did not reduce the vertical stratification and actually did the opposite — they enlarged the stratification through the uncontrolled division of labor. Post-industrial societies will only reduce the vertical division of labor ending with the simple tasks which were introduced by Taylorism. The reduction of the vertical division of labor will come together with the formation of broader professions which will end also the segmentation between the vocation and profession.
