The Sociotechnical Principles of Workers' Control (The Polish Case)

Abstract
In this article the author analyzes the condition and some drawbacks of the working class self-management as being developed in Poland. On the basis of this analysis he suggests ten principles on the improvement of human relations in industry in order to apply them to the working class self-management. These principles are he following: 1. Predominance of reward over punishment, 2. Predominance of integrative over disintegrative tendencies, 3. Predominance of expansionary over conservative forces, 4. The organic principle, 5. Two-way communication, 6. Multi-level resoucefulness, 7. Balanced interaction between a system and the external environment, 8. Feedback, 9. Providing opportunities for self-development, and 10. The principle of humanization of the system.
