Abstract

During the intensive cultivation of the vine the important place is occupied by weed control. Weeds are harmful for different reasons as consuming nutrients from the soil, drawing a large amount of moisture
that reduce the supply of water and also dry out the soil. Weeds reduce yield and quality of grapes and impede the mechanization of some works in the vineyard and lead to a loss in efficiency of the workforce. Weed control in practice is mainly done by using mechanical and chemical measures.
